The DogKing Dog Training Center, founded and directed by Otello Segantin, is dedicated to promoting dog culture and training with a respectful and modern approach.

Let me introduce myself:
Otello Segantin – Dog Trainer
Since 1998, I've been guiding owners and dogs toward a peaceful and respectful coexistence. I founded the DogKing Dog Center to spread canine culture and help people better understand their dogs, stress-free and conflict-free.
Like many of you, I started out of passion: the desire to communicate with dogs led me to discover their authentic and sincere world. Since then, I've been helping families and owners build balanced relationships, addressing behavioral issues of all kinds, regardless of the dog's breed or age.
My approach is amateur and personalized: we don't issue work certificates or compete in official competitions, but rather focus on improving daily life, using modern and respectful methods. Each intervention is designed to foster balance and collaboration, because the solution is always within reach when humans and dogs learn to understand each other.

Basic Obedience Course:
The relationship between man and dog has changed: today it is based on respect, trust and communication.
There's no need for authoritarian methods: what matters is becoming a safe point of reference, guiding the dog with patience and consistency.
This is how a peaceful coexistence is born, where man and dog collaborate and grow together.

Owner Responsibilities and Behavioral Guidelines
According to Article 2052 of the Civil Code, a dog owner—or anyone who has custody of a dog—is always responsible for any damage the animal may cause, even if lost or escaped, unless proven to be a fortuitous event.
Temporary custody and liability
When a dog is entrusted to a kennel or dog training center for care or training, legal responsibility remains with the owner, unless there is active and continuous use by the custodian.
In the case of instructor-led lessons, the owner is responsible for their dog's behavior, unless the instructor knowingly accepts extraordinary risks.
Family unit
If the dog belongs to the entire family, the head of the household is responsible, unless it can be proven that another member has exclusive use of it.
Prevention and safety
Taking your dog into public spaces requires care and responsibility. The owner must:
Keep your dog on a leash and be ready to restrain him.
Apply muzzle if necessary.
Shorten the leash when approaching people or other animals.
To place oneself as a safety barrier.
These precautions are not only recommended, but essential to reduce risks and liabilities.
Mandatory communications
If the dog exhibits aggressive behavior, it is mandatory to inform management before starting any training activity. Failure to notify the owner will be held entirely legally responsible.
Duty to Rescue Animals Hit by Cars
In Italy, it's the law: if an animal is hit, the driver is required to stop and provide assistance. Failure to comply carries a fine of up to €1,559.
According to Article 32 of Law 1720 and the amendments to the Highway Code (Legislative Decree 285/1992), rescuing injured animals is no longer just a humane act, but a civil and legal duty.
In summary:
It is mandatory to stop in the event of an accident involving pets, livestock, or protected animals.
The driver must take action to ensure timely intervention.
Animal rescue vehicles are also officially recognized, with acoustic and luminous devices like ambulances.
Even a private citizen can transport an injured animal in an emergency, provided it is justified as a "state of necessity".
This represents a major step forward in animal protection and promoting a culture of respect.
